Surah At-Takwir (سُورَةُ التَّكۡوِيرِ)
Meaning: "The Overthrowing" • Total Ayahs: 29
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
81:1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ ﴿1﴾
Urdu: جب سورج لپیٹ لیا جائے گا
English: When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
81:2
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ ﴿2﴾
Urdu: جب تارے بےنور ہو جائیں گے
English: And when the stars fall, dispersing,
81:3
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ ﴿3﴾
Urdu: اور جب پہاڑ چلائے جائیں گے
English: And when the mountains are removed
81:4
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ ﴿4﴾
Urdu: اور جب بیانے والی اونٹنیاں بےکار ہو جائیں گی
English: And when full-term she-camels are neglected
81:5
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ ﴿5﴾
Urdu: اور جب وحشی جانور جمع اکٹھے ہو جائیں گے
English: And when the wild beasts are gathered
81:6
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ ﴿6﴾
Urdu: اور جب دریا آگ ہو جائیں گے
English: And when the seas are filled with flame
81:7
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ ﴿7﴾
Urdu: اور جب روحیں (بدنوں سے) ملا دی جائیں گی
English: And when the souls are paired
81:8
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ ﴿8﴾
Urdu: اور جب لڑکی سے جو زندہ دفنا دی گئی ہو پوچھا جائے گا
English: And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
81:9
بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ ﴿9﴾
Urdu: کہ وہ کس گناہ پرماری گئی
English: For what sin she was killed
81:10
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ ﴿10﴾
Urdu: اور جب (عملوں کے) دفتر کھولے جائیں گے
English: And when the pages are made public
81:11
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ ﴿11﴾
Urdu: اور جب آسمانوں کی کھال کھینچ لی جائے گی
English: And when the sky is stripped away
81:12
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ ﴿12﴾
Urdu: اور جب دوزخ (کی آگ) بھڑکائی جائے گی
English: And when Hellfire is set ablaze
81:13
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ ﴿13﴾
Urdu: اور بہشت جب قریب لائی جائے گی
English: And when Paradise is brought near,
81:14
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ ﴿14﴾
Urdu: تب ہر شخص معلوم کر لے گا کہ وہ کیا لے کر آیا ہے
English: A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].
81:15
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ ﴿15﴾
Urdu: ہم کو ان ستاروں کی قسم جو پیچھے ہٹ جاتے ہیں
English: So I swear by the retreating stars -
81:16
ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ ﴿16﴾
Urdu: (اور) جو سیر کرتے اور غائب ہو جاتے ہیں
English: Those that run [their courses] and disappear -
81:17
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ ﴿17﴾
Urdu: اور رات کی قسم جب ختم ہونے لگتی ہے
English: And by the night as it closes in
81:18
وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ﴿18﴾
Urdu: اور صبح کی قسم جب نمودار ہوتی ہے
English: And by the dawn when it breathes
81:19
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ﴿19﴾
Urdu: کہ بےشک یہ (قرآن) فرشتہٴ عالی مقام کی زبان کا پیغام ہے
English: [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger
81:20
ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ ﴿20﴾
Urdu: جو صاحب قوت مالک عرش کے ہاں اونچے درجے والا ہے
English: [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],
81:21
مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ ﴿21﴾
Urdu: سردار (اور) امانت دار ہے
English: Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.
81:22
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ ﴿22﴾
Urdu: اور (مکے والو) تمہارے رفیق (یعنی محمدﷺ) دیوانے نہیں ہیں
English: And your companion is not [at all] mad.
81:23
وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ﴿23﴾
Urdu: بےشک انہوں نے اس (فرشتے) کو (آسمان کے کھلے یعنی) مشرقی کنارے پر دیکھا ہے
English: And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.
81:24
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ ﴿24﴾
Urdu: اور وہ پوشیدہ باتوں (کے ظاہر کرنے) میں بخیل نہیں
English: And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.
81:25
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ ﴿25﴾
Urdu: اور یہ شیطان مردود کا کلام نہیں
English: And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
81:26
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ ﴿26﴾
Urdu: پھر تم کدھر جا رہے ہو
English: So where are you going?
81:27
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿27﴾
Urdu: یہ تو جہان کے لوگوں کے لیے نصیحت ہے
English: It is not except a reminder to the worlds
81:28
لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ ﴿28﴾
Urdu: (یعنی) اس کے لیے جو تم میں سے سیدھی چال چلنا چاہے
English: For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
81:29
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿29﴾
Urdu: اور تم کچھ بھی نہیں چاہ سکتے مگر وہی جو خدائے رب العالمین چاہے
English: And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.
